Five classes of vertebrates

Vertebrates are animals that have backbones. There are five classes.

Fish are cold-blooded animals that live in the water and breathe with gills.
(Examples: goldfish, sharks, tuna)

Amphibians are cold-blooded animals that live in the water and breathe with gills during their early stages but later move on to land and can breathe with lungs.
(Examples: frogs, toads, salamanders)

Reptiles are cold-blooded animals that have scales and lay eggs.
(Examples: crocodiles, geckos, snakes, sea turtles)

Birds are warm-blooded animals that have wings and feathers.
(Examples: eagles, swans, owls, penguins)

Mammals are warm-blooded animals with hair that give their young milk.
(Examples: people, dogs, dolphins, whales, chimpanzees)

セキツイ動物どうぶつは、背骨せぼねをもつ動物です。5ご種類しゅるいあります。

魚類ぎょるいは、水中すいちゅうで生活せいかつし、えらで呼吸こきゅうする変温動物へんおんどうぶつです。
（例れい：キンギョ、サメ、カツオ）

両生類りょうせいるいは、幼生ようせいのとき、水中で生活し、えら呼吸をするが、後のちに陸りくに移動いどうし、肺はいで呼吸する変温動物です。
（例：アマカエル、ヒキガエル、サンショウウオ）

は虫類ちゅうるいは、うろこをもち、卵たまごを産うむ変温動物です。
（例：ワニ、ヤモリ、ヘビ、ウミガメ）

鳥類ちょうるいは、翼つばさと羽毛うもうをもつ恒温動物こうおんどうぶつです。
（例：ワシ、ハクチョウ、フクロウ、ペンギン）

ほ乳類にゅうるいは、子こどもに乳ちちを与あたえる恒温動物です。
（例：ヒト、イヌ、イルカ、クジラ、チンパンジー）
