Highlights from My Classes: Week 5

Here is the summary of my classes this week.

There was no Beginning English lesson this week.

In Business English, I provided reproduction training again. I also taught my students some practical business English phrases. We practiced forming question clauses (e.g., what time the meeting will start) quickly.

In Technical Writing, I explained verbs used to describe placement, including place, position, set, insert, and arrange. I also explained which prepositions are appropriate with each verb. Put may sound too general in instruction manuals, so I recommended using the other verbs instead.

In Engineering English, I taught my students expressions related to design development. We read the text together and I explained some technical terms by explaining their etymology. Then we moved on to the next subject, which was more about physics, specifically the states of mater.
