前置詞が難しいというお悩みをお聞きしました。

次の文の（ ）にin, on, atのどれかを入れてください。
1. We went shopping ( ) Sunday,

時刻はatです。
日付、曜日はonです。
週、月、季節、年、世紀は、inです。
クリスマス休暇、お正月といった休暇期間はatです。
朝、昼、晩はそれぞれ、in the morning, in the afternoon, in the eveningです。
夜はat night です。
ただし、上記の朝、昼、晩、夜に修飾語が付くと、inとatはonに変わります。
答えは

3. We eat rice cakes (at) New Year’s. お正月という意味ならatです。元旦であればonです。
