Edamame soybeans

Edamame is young soybeans which are still in their pods. Unlike soybeans, they are moist and soft.  Edamame beans are salt-boiled or steamed and served as an appetizer or a snack. Many Japanese people like to eat edamame with beer.

Tamba Sasayama, Hyogo is famous for its black soybeans. The black edamame beans are plump and tasteful. They are not only tasty but also nutritious.
